    Unless you plan to marry in the Catholic Church, you do not need to obtain an annulment. Please speak with the RCIA director more about this if you have specific questions. 

  • 6. Do I need a sponsor?

    A sponsor is a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church who accompanies you on your journey through the RCIA. It is your sponsor's job to support and help you, as well as verify that you are ready to take the next step in the process. For Baptism, the sponsor is called a "godparent". 

  • 7. How old should a person be to attend RCIA or RCIC?

    A person should be old enough to understand what is being taught. For children of catechetical age (7 to 14), we encourage students to enroll in Religious Education. Depending on their level of maturity and their interests. Older teens might join the adult group. Contact the RCIA director for more information.
