At a special 10:30 a.m. Mass this morning, Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Holy Angels Cathedral in Gary, Bishop Donald J. Hying announced the beginning of a Synod process that will culminate with a Diocesan Synod on the weekend of Pentecost 2017. He also issued a Pastoral Letter to the faithful of the diocese, "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations..." He has encouraged all the faithful to read his Pastoral Letter. Later this year, study sessions will take place to discuss his letter. You may read the letter for yourselves any time you wish. Feel free to click on the links to the English and Spanish copies.
